1 reason to cry but 1000 more to SMILE!

It takes love and affection to make a house, a home. Mom-dad, brother-sister, and husband-wife: all residing with love amongst them make up a home. One can say that they are the actual foundation of home but what if one of the pillars gets demolished? It is quite obvious of one to predict that the home will get collapsed. But what if an extra support is provided!

It feels quite broken when a person loses a loved one and that too a mother and this hard luck struck Jaimin.

Coming from a middle class family, Jaimin lost the blessing of his mother’s love at quite a young age. He then stayed with his father and his step mom. His father and his grandfather were the only people with whom he shared a good bond but his grandfather too was freed from his sins. All his feelings with was his father.

‘Step-Mom’- by hearing the word itself, a bitter truth hits our mind that most of the step-mom-child relations are not amicable.

What made Jaimin grow stronger was his own self. He never let his misery dominate him. He was one of the toppers of his batch. He had good friends, enjoyed hangouts with them, but as soon as he stepped into his house, dark clouds would encircle him. The way in which his step-mom behaved with him was completely inappreciable. Considering one of the inhuman acts of her, she had once told Jaimin to return all the expenses she made after him after he started earning.
No doubt there came a point where he was completely broken down, but he was too strong to give up. Holding up his courage, Jaimin never let grief dominate his soul.

Well, on the contrary to his sad life at his home, he was blessed with an amazing friend circle in his college. He was in a relationship with a girl. She always supported him in his darkest hours and so did his friends. She did all things to make Jaimin happy.

On a day so gloomy, he lost courage and shared his grief with his girlfriend. He shed tears and was emotionally broken down. His girlfriend supported him much but still, he was suppressed by negativity.

He decided to bloom. He thought that he would get attacked by grief along if he kept himself vulnerable to it. He counted his blessings instead of his hardships. He said to himself that he had a caring father, a loving girlfriend and supportive friends. How could he let all this happiness from so many people let go by grief from just one person!

What made him drive from grief to happiness? What attitude he thought of possessing to make himself positive? The answer is his perspective. What many of us do is count on negative moments instead of cherishing the blissful ones.

Many of us are blessed with almost all things- parents, friends, yet we cry over small problems we face in our day-to-day lives. Just imagine what would happen if you faced the problems Jaimin faced.

If Jaimin, in spite of grieves, could make the most of his life, then any normal human is capable of being a unique masterpiece if he is determined. You, reading this are even capable of being a masterpiece. It is not important to consider what you lost, rather focus on what you have and make the most of it!

How to smile and Why to smile!

[You can know how and why to smile even offline by downloading the anecdote:
]

Did you smile today? If yes, continue smiling. If no, what are you waiting for? A day without smile is a day completely wasted. Smiling is a simple thing. Yeah, I know many of you won’t agree with me on this as we have so many things in life to worry about but trust me, it is a simple thing.

Stock market is a good place to earn money but it also possesses the high power of bringing you down from the mountain top. Harry, so much interested in such economics was my friend who invested his money in stocks and it is said na: Fortune favors the brave! He too was favored as he was brave enough to take risks in investing money. Yeah he was going well in his life as simultaneously, he had his own business of textile. His company was amongst those which are always on the run across 365 days. He suffered losses but the balance of remuneration subsided the losses.

Bad luck strikes even the best of all men and Harry was no different. He suddenly faced a declination in his business and the stock market crashed the same day. He felt as if he was pushed off the mountain of success and was smashed terribly on the ground. The fact was too bitter to digest but it had to be accepted, whether sooner or later.

I was enjoying my latte when he approached to me with his eyes deep in shock, legs proceeding as if they were being dragged by his body.

“Is everything fine, Harry?” I was curious about his depression.
“Nothing is fine, Johnson. Nothing is fine.” He cried.

I frowned at him in confusion, “What’s the matter?”

“I have fallen from the sky of success where I was sailing so smoothly. My company has been drowned. And my investments! The market crashed and burnt all my investments. I don’t know what to do. I feel worthless, Johnson.”

I could understand the situation through which Harry was passing and any person probably would think of ending up his life after falling in such a deep valley of sadness. I knew he needed a shoulder to cry on and so I was there for him. He expressed all his sadness and I was listening patiently, making sure to maintain calmness on my face and not that oh-my-God expression.

Few days passed and Harry was still at the low phase of his life, not willing to move on. He still held the shock and he found it too difficult to get out of that. I knew he wasn’t going to easily get over his past and I thought of giving him a boost.

I took him out for picnics, night clubs, expensive restaurants, films. He showed improvements but like 1%. His soul was still experiencing the stroke.

“Johnson, I still feel so low and helpless.” He expressed himself as tears roll down out of his eyes on his cheeks.

I made him sit on the couch. “Harry, I can completely understand the hardship through which you are passing. You feel hopeless but don’t you lose hope. See, God has plans, good plans for everyone. You were sailing in the boat of happiness and were quite enjoying it but it is human nature that if one experiences something a lot, he gets tired of that thing and takes it for granted. You were so happy but if happiness turned out to be a habit on you, you would probably feel dull and may not be able to cherish it completely. Now you are passing through dark phase of your life. And now, when you will come out of this, you will feel so much alive being happy and you will cherish it. You will realize that what happened with you had better plans.” He shook his head in agreement.

I added, “As currently, you are feeling low, do what makes you happy. It is hard, but not impossible. You are a strong person and I think you are strong enough to dominate the darkness over you. Read books, dare to smile, to laugh, watch films, move on. Life is really too short to cry over your bad phase. You cry and sink deeper and deeper in your grief, making yourself worse. Instead why not utilize that so precious time of your life in being happy. You will be happy, feel energetic, gain positivity, and be optimistic, you will build yourself. See? So many advantages of one good option that you must choose. And the more of all, you will grow stronger, Harry. It’s so much simple. Just smile!” He soon understood what I was saying and yes, I saw his cheeks running into is eyes and he had that big smile on his face J

Life is too simple. But we mull over our sadness so much and thus make it complex. No matter how many reasons you have for crying, just one reason to laugh is enough to crush those negative feelings. And after you understand this, you will realize that smiling is really way too easy. So smile, even if you have no reason. Life is all about being happy and being simple J
