What do you call a struggle? You are looking out to gain something and you start to work hard for it; is that you call struggle? Ask yourself again if you really know what struggle means.

We live in a society where hard work is misunderstood to be struggle. People have morphed themselves into a living dead such that all they want is to facilitate themselves with more and more luxuries and with ease. You want something, you lose something. You work hard but that is not a STRUGGLE.

I was treading along a roadside when I saw an old man, reluctantly working on the road, sweeping the road to earn his bread. It was quite inevitable that he didn’t like his job, yet he was hardwired to do it for his livelihood. That is what struggle is, my friends.

You are at a position you have chosen to be. You have not yet endured the pain of life, and I pray we all never have to. If you are studying, doing any job at some organization or any other thing which you had opted for, you must love it, not because it serves you right, but because you chose it, thinking to achieve something for it.

I was studying mechanical engineering and I hated a few subjects, I would have loved to tear the pages of the books. But I heard a voice from my inside: why am I doing this? Did anyone compel me to be what I am today? I have carved my own self out today and I have chosen this field because I love it. Why should I hate it just because I do not like a few subjects? I am calling it a struggle but I myself chose this and I see my future to be decorated by the matter I have mustered in my gray cells. No, I cannot call it a struggle. I am loving it and will continue to study, no matter what but I will venture upon it to study as it interests me.

Struggle never serves you. If, what you are doing gives you even a fraction of happiness and is remunerative, that is not struggle. It is just that you have a shell of fear upon you which you need to subside. Let it not be babelism over hard work as a struggle. And even if you think you are struggling, dig the way through the box and reach out for the ray. Every negative can be transformed into positive. Love what you do, do what you love. Everything can be fruitful to you, even the bad things or the things you hate.

So stop complaining, start exploring yourself. Push your struggle to the level that it becomes not your weakness, but an enormous strength you can possess.
